Artists & Aftercare

We’re currently in the throes of nurturing the seedlings for an exciting new project: facilitating the healing and restoration of the slave trade through the Arts. Artists & Aftercare has the potential to be something huge!

We’re partnering with representatives from Northwestern University to research state-side and international aftercare facilities & Mars Hill Graduate School to research and compile a manual for artists to abide by healthy boundaries and maximize the positive effect of music in a victim’s healing. We want to learn as much as we can about this difficult healing process. We believe music can have an amazing impact on it!

Thursdays at YouthCare

JUBILEE facilitates a weekly jam session with the youth of YouthCare.

Founded in 1974, YouthCare was the first shelter for homeless youth in the Western United States and continues to be a leader in providing services to this vulnerable population. Beginning as a three-bed shelter for runaways, YouthCare has grown and expanded to become a community-based agency with six sites serving the greater Seattle area. Today, YouthCare’s services range from street outreach and residential housing to education and employment training.

Jam with us!

If you’re a musician located in the Seattle area & you’re free from 4-6 on one Thursday a month send us an email! We’re looking for a few more helping/musical hands.

Musicians playing to the tune of advocacy

Our Mission: We are a collection of musicians/abolitionists who use the stage, classroom, recording studio, & merch table to be a vehicle of knowledge and advocates for the oppressed. Individually, music has made each of our own lives better, therefore as a group, we use our voices and instruments to resound messages of freedom and a higher quality of life to our listeners and students. We are a mouthpiece for the 27 million under the bondage of modern slavery - making the hope of injustice around the world known to our listeners.
